About Cosmecare
Cosmecare is run by Liz Bardolph. LLM BSc RGN RM INP FRSPH
As an experienced nurse Liz has been involved in medical aesthetics for nearly twenty years and runs her clinic, Cosmecare, in Fareham, Hampshire. Liz specialises in a wide range of anti-ageing treatments including dermal fillers, the use of the botulinum A toxin, dermaroller, dermabrasion, and the removal of thread veins from the face and legs, together with skin care products. She offers a referral service to a dermatologist, cosmetic surgeons and vascular surgeons.
Liz has served on a committee with the Royal College of Nursing to improve standards in aesthetic nursing and has contributed to policy development within the RCN and nationally. She represented the membership of the RCN on the Shared Regulation Scheme for Providers of Cosmetic Injectables and was awarded the Quality Assurance Mark. She serves on the Board of the British Association of Sclerotherapists. Liz is a founder member of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN) established in 2009 and was its first President. The BACN is a not for profit organisation aimed at raising standards in aesthetic medicine through education, policy development and networking opportunities.
Academically, Liz has contributed to the development of the first Graduate Diploma Course for Aesthetic Nurses by assisting in writing the course material and was a Visiting Assessor at the University of Greenwich. Completing the Nurse Prescribing course means she is able to prescribe the medication used in her specialist field. Liz is an accredited Civil Expert Witness and has been called upon to advise in litigation cases. As an accredited mentor and coach Liz uses these qualifications to work with other aesthetic nurses.
Finally in 2015 Liz was awarded the prestigious Schuco International Award for Special Achievement at the Aesthetic Awards in recognition for her services to the aesthetics field.
